I have not blogged in forever!

Hey everybody life's been moving pretty fast so I have not blogged in a while. Sorry about that! I want to blog soon and I hope I can get in the time. This weekend I'm going to be away at State College for Lynne's 21st Birthday Celebration! I can not wait to see my Susquehanna Ladies! Hopefully my car makes it there and everything goes smoothly.

Also I've been encouraged lately to study and read my bible more, so I hope I can be diligent in that goal. Okay I have to go do laundry and a special project for my girl Lynne!

No place like home, no place like NE!

Heyyyy! So I was actually so busy this week I didn't even get a chance to blog about my days. I hate going back to blog about a day because I might miss something I was currently thinking about on that day. This week was a great week. My summer class is keeping me busy. But the best thing was I got to see my friends so much. Just about every night I was out doing something fun. Shaver and Heather/Erin had bonfires! I love bonfires, their a great time to catch up and hangout with friends I went to high school with. My class still has a great relationship and are great friends. I love the class of 2007! Also Chris Ward had a "party" in meaning that some people were drinking and others were just chilling. It was so much fun, some people were funnier than others and more outgoing after a few drinks. lol. I also got to go back to my Kindergarten class and hang out with them for outdoor day! So much fun, I walked around with a group of three boys and had a blast playing games with them. We has great weather too so that was a plus. After that I headed to the beach and meet some friends who were their since early morning. I love the beach! So nice to just lay out and hang with some of my favorite people.

Great summer, great times, great friends!

OCC, OG, and BFF

So I started a summer class at Ocean County College and it's not that bad. I'm taking psychology and my professor is very lively and seems to present the information efficiently. So, Zig came over from PA to hang out with me and Tev! We went to Nagles and the BEACH! t was very very windy and the sun seemed to be on and off but later I noticed from my sunburn the sun was stronger than I originally thought. Their great friends, and I'm so jealous of Tev for having a house in Ocean Grove (one of my favorite places on earth!) I'm more than happy I became good friends with them this year, next year should bring along some more memories! I can't wait!
I do want to talk about my best friend in the world right now and give her a shout out. Ashley Loran Shaver you're awesome! We've been best friends since 6th grade and while we both have great relationships with other girlfriends we will always have a special kind of friendship and love for each other. I just wanted to say how proud I am of her. She has been doing great in her classes and has dreams to become a doctors assistant. She is one persons whose strength encourages me to fight through every situation throw at me. For those who don't know Ashley went through a series of back surgeries in high school. She had the best attitude during the whole long process and has overcomes many difficulties. She is just all around an amazing person. She sees the need for comfort and care in other people's lives and never hesitates to give anything of herself to help others. I hope that one day I can strive to be just as caring. I am fortunate to be blessed with such an amazing best friend. I couldn't thank her enough for all the things she has done for me. I love you Ashley and thank God for your role in my life.
I love you Ashley.  "I will survive, Oh as long as I know how to love I know I'll stay alive; I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give and I'll survive, I will survive."

Graduation Weekend

Mike's Graduation was awesome! Saturday night we all went over to Mike's house (an average college guys house, aka a dump) and hung out for a while. Next, we went to the student center for a mixer like party for all the graduates. What a night! Dancing fools. Aunt Rheta, Uncle Tim, Mom, Tim, Jesse, and all Mike's friends and their families and some great music equals an amazing night! Hahahaha so much fun dancing! I missed Aunt Amy thought, she was sick from a migraine and couldn't be there. The next day was the actual graduation ceremony was good. Ya, know boring ceremony. But I'm so proud of Mike. College isn't easy and I'm proud of him to make it out in four years. I can't believe that I only have two years left and then I am going to be graduating. I think the hardest point will be saying goodbye to friends. Mike has such an AMAZING group of guys that are his best friends. I know saying goodbye is hard for Mike because I know he's had some crazy fun times. Posted below are some pictures from the events. (p.s. isn't my dress fabulous...I couldn't wait to wear it!)

Going through the motions

Thursday was too lame to blog. Awesome day at school and then nap and Lindsay's house with everybody (I was making cards the whole time!)

Today was upsetting that it was my last day of my externship at the Primary School. I love love love kindergarten, and I will be a K5 teacher one day.

I don't feel well at all, I deff think the kids got me sick. So I slept again after school and woke up with no plans for my friday night. I called my cousin Jesse and we decided to go out to dinner and a movie. Ruby Tuesday's and Star Trek. We had a blast, I love my family.

I am deff sick and tired. Night!

Mike's Graduation festivities to look forward to this weekend!

Hump Day and Bug City

This morning I did not want to get out of bed, but I'm glad I did. Today was a great day at the Primary School. I already knew I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher, but now I know for sure, without a doubt in my mind. I was walking down the hallway and again I was told I looked like a teacher, this time by a teacher herself. Only two more years until my own classroom! Today the students did Writer's Workshop. I loved it. They are so good at writing and are even forming paragraphs. One little boy who I am guilty of having favor for, but do not show it was precious today. He likes to play outside in the dirt looking for bugs during recess and they call the place bug city. This is our following conversation:

Me: "You know Anthony you can make a bug city in your yard this summer"
Ant: While gently rubbing my arm, "Will you be there?"
Me: "Well, no. But maybe one day if I meet your mom, we can ask if I can babysit"
Ant: "You can call her" and than gave me his phone number.
...he just about broke my heart.
(This is one little boy's writing about Bug City - "Bog Site")

After school I just went home and hung out aka. nap. dinner. catch up with Lynn and Jackie at tooties and shared college stories. Loveee loveee them so much. Then I got home and mom was finally home. To be nice about the situation Timmy and Mom annoyed me and nobody was happy with each other. lameeee.

I miss Susquehanna. I miss my old schedule, seeing my girlfriends all the time, weekends, the Mullens, and just everything. Mannnn, it's going to be a long summer. Although, I am looking forward to the rest of summer. However if I don't find a job it's going to be a bad summer and i'll be very poor.

Terrific Teaching Tuesday

So today was my second say at the Primary School. This first thing that happened in my day is the following conversation with a kindergarten student:

little girl: "Are you a new teacher here?"
me: "Why, yes I am, my name is Miss. Wendel."
little girl: "oh"
me: "Do you think I look like a teacher?"
little girl: "Oh yes!"

hahaha this conversation made my day bright and early! Today I felt more like a teacher than I have ever felt in my life. I love being in a classroom all day. While I am helping and observing right now, I can not wait to have my own classroom one day. Oh, so exciting, my very own classroom! It was a great Tuesday, lots of fun and learning. It was so nice outside, the teachers let the kids have some extra recess, I loved that! It was so nice outside, why not, right!
After school, I did something I've been wanting to do forever. I went and visited Mrs. Robbins, the High Schools Guidance Dept secretary and personal friend. I have not stopped by for a visit in a long time, so there was so much to talk about. I felt so good to chat and tell her whats been going on in my life. A lot has happened since I saw her, also a lot of maturing and growing up. It's nice to be reminded of where you were and where you are now. I've come a long why consiering sme events that have happened since I last saw her. She told me I have a sparkle in my eye. That also made my day! I've really changed and become a more, confident, independent, self-sufficent, and stronger. Mrs. Robbins was so important to me in High School, and I love her very much. The picture below is of us, on my first day of senior year - September 2006!
Next, I went to NEHS baseball game. I made Desirea come meet me there, and she's a great BFF and came to sit with me before her night class. It was nice to see Dylan and Ricky, and apparently somebody already knew I felt that way. However, i'm mostly glad that I got to see Timmy (baby brother, not so baby like) pitch. I haven't really seen him play in a while. After I left I was told that Mrs. Demarco came with her baby, and I missedo out on seeing them. Major bummer.
Dinner (pizza!) quick nap. Finally, first get together at Lindsay's of the summer. Just a hang out time with, Britni, Des, Bosco, Rob, Cindy, Mom, and Saville. It was nice to do something so natural and comfortable.

What a terrific Tuesday!

Surprisingly Pleasant Monday

Today I started my externship at NE Primary School. I love kindergarten! I love the kids, so adorable! I can't wait to have my own classroom one day. It was a great day, I am working with two very experienced teachers, and I am going to take away a lot from this week's volunteer hours.

After school I hung with Ashley. I went to her house right from school and her cute little puppy Bella just about attacked me. Then we went to OCC so I could sign up for my summer class. We had a great dinner and then she went to study for her last final. After I snoozed for a bit and then went to Brit's and soaked in the hot tub for a while with her, Des, and Jess.

Good Day! Happy day!

Of course girls talk when we hang, and tonight that was no exception. I have come to realize that the Golden Rule is deff true. Kindness goes a long way, and treating others how you would want to be treated just shows character and goodheartedness. I hope that this summer I can be kind to be and wear love where ever I go and who ever I'm with. I know that Jesus Christ will help me with that every step of the way. Love you so much God. You're Grace still amazes me!

I'm an ORIGINAL women!

"Regardless of what else you put on, WEAR LOVE. It's you're basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it."
Colossians 3:14

Recently I went to a Christian Women's Conference in Rockford, Illinois with some of the best and most loving ladies I know. I went with a Christian Community Group also know as 11th Hour.  This group originally started out of a church in Wrightstown, NJ. The guys and girls that come to this once a week "bible study" (I put quotations around bible study, because it's so much more, it's a family. We all share and grow together while seeking the heart of our Father)

Well anyway, the conference was life changing. The topic this year was love. What could get better than women of God coming together to learn an grow in love. My heart was weakened the first night and God opened my heart to so much. I encountered God that weekend. On a heart level, the whole weekend I felt that my heart and God's heart was connected by a pretty pink string. Worship was amazing too. Karie Jobe lead worship all weekend and it was intense. On Saturday morning, the last morning
service particularly the worship service hit me and in my head i had a picture of each women in the room (about 600) were connected and humbly worshiping the king of the universe. It was awesome. God not only worked in my heart but also the hearts of the ladies I was with. I had some awesome sister of God moments with Becky that weekend and thank god for my amazing and beautiful friend.

Also praise God that I was able to connect with these girls more. I recently because friends with everybody and it now feels like i've been friends with the my whole life. They are all amazing and I love them so much. It remind we of the song, Circle of Friend by Point of Grace...."I've found my place in this circle of friend, in a circle of friends we have one father!"

After the conference ended Saturday we went to Chicago! It was amazing! I lovedddd the Windy City. It was friendly and beautiful, I could picture myself living there one day, opposed to any other big city. I wanted to see the bean so badly, and when we got there I was blown away. It was so pretty, amazing how it can be built and it's all reflective. Amazing. Also the weather was so nice and perfect for walking around and taking pictures! I had an awesome time, but mostly because of my company. And don't forget, this an't my home, baby my home is in Brooklyn (inside joke)

Overall I enjoyed my get away vacation to grow closer to God. Even though it was at the worst timing academically. Week 13 of a 14 week semester, so you can say when I got back to school reality hit pretty hard. I had an enormous list of assignments to complete. Oh well, it was so worth it!

Friends

Hey! I'm with Ashley Shaver right now, my bff! So she doesn't understand blogging (yet) so I'm making a new post to show her and yada yada. Um, I don't where my little brother is, and we're currently momless right now. (She is in Iowa with her deceased best friends mom) I'm sad my mom won't be around for mothers days. So yeah, he's a big boy and i'm not responsible for him.

We hung out with our girlfriends tonight. Amanda and Britni stopped by my house and then Ashley came. We caught up with our college stories and sharing stuff about our sophomore years of college. Then we went to Rajeski's to hang out with some other "awesome" New Egyptians.

We're gonna watch a movie and crash. Peace.

out and about

So after a long day of doing nothing on friday :) I decided to go have fun with my cousin and aunt during his send off to prom. He looked great, not my baby cousin anymore. After that I hung out with my aunt and her girlfriends at Olive Garden, yummm, and then all the parents and such went to an after party. It was a great night, I really enjoyed being with people who hold the same religious values that I do. Other than that I got home late, went to bed. Woke up and went to my new job. I'm waitressing for a company connected to different catered events, so it was my first day and experience like that. I survived, but my feet hurt. Posted below is a picture of me and my cousin before his prom! He's so cute!

home from college

Hey everybody! I just got home from my second year of college this week. I can not believe I'm half way finished. It's so bittersweet. I love where I am in my life. If you asked me that a few short months ago I would of not said that. However I've encountered the love of Jesus Christ, and His love is my strength.

So I've been sleeping a lot, finals week killed my sleeping schedule. Also, I've finally got the chance to read the Twilight Sage. I loved it, that's an understatement. I was so completely engaged in the story. Ahhh, I love it. I know I'm lame for being a Twilight nerd, but oh well.

So, this is my first blog. I guess I just post my daily activities yadda yadda. It's pretty late, so I'm gonna head to bed.
