Babysitting...Story of my Life.

So, I'm babysitting as my summer job and let me tell you, it's not as easy as you think. I feel like a parent. I'm not complaining really, just don't think I'm necessarily ready to be a fully time parent. I have a lot of growing to do before God will trust me with children, and I want 394034983 kids. Seriously, I am often heard saying I don't want kids, I want a small army. Well, anyway I've been babysitting 100 hours a week. I babysit two families. One with three boys, Robert and John 7 (twins) and Mathew 6. Desirea has been babysitting for them all year and since she has been taking one my shifts at Jay Vending she passed them along to me. Their fun and silly but they fight a lot which gets them into constant trouble. My second family is two kids, Hannah 6 and Aiden 5. They are awesome and so well behaved. So basically this summer I've been one big kids hanging out with lots of other kids. It's tough work, but somebody has to do it. hahaha, just kidding. Below are some fun pictures and one of a little craft I did with the kids.

Rainbow

I was overwhelmed with God's love yesterday when I saw the most radiant and clear rainbow I ever saw in my life. I was seriously taken back by the Lord's beauty and His promise. I felt as if He gave it to me. Well true or not I felt beyond grateful for His pure and beautiful love.

Kari Jobe - Pure

Your love is pure
Your love is precious
Your love is all i need
Your love surrounds me
Your love astounds me
Your love is everything.

I run to you
My heart is weak
I cling to you
Your all i see
It's my hearts desire
To be close to you
Here in your arms
I'll find my strength.

Your love is pure
Your love is precious
Your love is all i need
Your love surrounds me
Your love astounds me
Your love is everything.

I run to you
My heart is weak
I cling to you
Your all i see
It's my hearts desire
To be close to you
Here in your arms

weekend.

Friday: Today I meet the family/kids I'll be babysitting for twice a week for the summer and they were great kids so I’m looking forward to babysitting them. Then I hung out with Ashley all afternoon doing nothing but having a great time. I absolutely love her, she just understands me and still accepts me for who I really am. LOVE YOU ASH! So then at night I finally got to hang out with Desirea. She's always working so Friday night she was off and I actually got to spend some time with her. Nothing like night swimming, visiting cousin (Billy....love you cuz), WaWa Marconi and cheese, and Cindy's b-day get together at Lind's. Fun night.

Saturday: Babysitting at 8 AM - way to early for my liking. The kids were devils. Then I laid around all afternoon and was perfectly content relaxing and reading. Next, I went to Toomas's brothers (Dan) graduation party and hung out there for most of the night. Fun time and I got to hang out with some underclassmen I have not seen in forever...Best Wishes Class of 2009! Molly had a short hang out before a party so me and Toomas went there to see friends for a bit and then called it a night. We basically all matched and wore yellow by chance, it was crazy. Shout out to my Danny Boy and his awesome girlfriend Heather - LOVE YOU GUYS!

Sunday: Happy Father's Day! Church was great and the message was perfect, it really hit home and spoke to my heart. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. It really encouraged me to keep walking with God and to trust Him completely throughout trials and temptations. After church I went to P.F. Chang's for lunch with all the girls, Aunt Amy, Gram, Emily, and Kaye. No men on fathers day because they are all in Canada on a fishing trip. It was my first time eating there and I loved it! So good. Then, I went to my PopPop's house to say hello and catch up, then Dad, Mike, and me went to feds for dinner but was too full from lunch to eat anything unfortunately because feds has the best pizza ever! And after that we decided to take a trip to see my Dad's recently retired boss. It was so nice to see him and his family, we spent all night there. They have two boys that me and Mike have not seen in forever. Blake 20 and Mike 25 so all of us kids got along really well and had fun chatting and sharing stories. Sow now I’m here blogging and sharing my weekend!

Kitty

I'm a cat person. Yep, I am. I will one day be the crazy old cat lady with a million cats. (Don't hate). Some people hold judgments and stereotypes against people who loves cats, and I think their mean. So I already have one cat, Clover. She's really a family cat, and she is spoiled rotten. What a princess. So recently my family got another kitten, but it was just too little :( we had to send her back to her mommy so she could grow up just a little bit more before she moved in with us. She is adorable. I'm naming her princess, and Tim and Mike are not happy about this, but I could care less. She loves me, so I'm naming her. Here are some pictures.

Random

This was a draft I had in my box from 6/9/09, so I thought I'd post it.

Hey! So I have begun to relate all my life happenings and events to my blog, I find myself thinking, "This thought would make a good blog, or can't wait to post pictures about this." Lame, I know. Well, recently I've been thinking a lot because so much stuff has been going on. Life can be hard. But how can we know how much we can handle? How much is too much? The bible says in Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

I believe in the word of God, and I believe that the Lord will make me strong.

Emme Girl and Baby Kaye

I have the coolest cousins, seriously I do and Em and Kaye are some of my favorites. Tonight we're hanging and having fun. We've been jamming to music and taking photos on my photo-both. We watched the movie, Love Comes Softly, great movie. Overall, great and carefree summer saturday night.

2 Brother Bears

So I want to give a shout out to my brothers! Mike (22) and Timmy (17). Just a quick fact: they have the same birthday, march 19th, but were born 5 years apart. Crazy right. Yeah, they're great brothers, I wish I just had some time to spend with them, just the three of us, like the way back when days. We had a great childhood playing together and cherish those memories. Well, Binkey just had his junior prom weekend and it was nice seeing him enjoy it. He's seen me and Mike enjoy so many privileges from just being older than him, and now it's nice to see him enjoy everything. Mike is home but just for a bit longer, he has a job working for a flooring company. It's one of those office/business jobs, it's what he's always wanted, so I'm super excited for him to start that in just a few weeks. Actually, he'll be in Georgia for training for a few months. Well, I really just wanted to shout out to them and tell them I love em. Recently I've seen my mom interact and hang out with her siblings and I hope that all three of us remain close and have great relationships forever.

If You Want Me Too - Ginny Owens

I heard this song on the radio for the first time today. I sobbed. In the past year I have been through the storm and back. You know, sometimes the pathway is broken but I will always hold onto hope from my Savior Jesus Christ. He is my source of satisfaction and strength, I am positive and hopeful because of His love. My heart will always be the Lords and I desire to please Him daily. I know without a doubt he will one day answer my hearts deepest longing, to love and be loved back. One day I'll know my love story and it will be my turn to be a princess. This I do believe. 'Cause i'll walk through the valley to get to you.

Here's the song:

The pathway is broken
And The signs are unclear
And I don't know the reason why You brought me here
But just because You love me the way that You do
I'm gonna walk through the valley
If You want me to
Cause I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
And I'm clinging to the promise You're not through with me yet
so if all of these trials bring me closer to you
Then I will walk through the fire
If You want me to
It may not be the way I would have chosen
When you lead me through a world that's not my home
But You never said it would be easy
You only said I'd never go alone
So When the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear You answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering Your love put You through
And I go through the valley If You want me to

friends, memories, & pictures

After high school ended we all wondered who was going to remain your friend, who was going to change the most, and who was going to never be seen again. So I'm half way into my second summer home from college and I am taken back by all the good and bad changes I see in people, relationships, and behavior of the people who at once I knew like the back of my hand. Along with thinking about present change I can't help but think back to the "good old days" of care free high school. I absolutely cherished high school, without a doubt. However I wish I could hold onto more than memories and pictures. Wouldn't it be nice to have something more, maybe even tangible and/or visual. Sure reminiscing with friends while looking at pictures does bring you back (what me and shaver did tonight), but I wish their could even be more. If the past is what shapes who you are, shouldn't you remember it by means more than your human ability to store memories. Now, please, I deff have memories that I do not want to go back too. No way. Do not take me there, anything but that. But, I wish there was a way that you could choose certain events, memories, conversations, emotions, and life experiences and somehow have the ability to relive them. Maybe not even reliving them but having the opportunity to be re-stimulated by certain emotions once felt. Examples: first kisses, prom nights, home coming victories, winning that big race, and even the feeling of walking down the hallway to class. Additionally, wouldn't it be awesome to have the chance to return to specific experiences in your life that you really didn't pay much attention to or count them as valuable only to realize later in life that it was actually a big deal, life lesson, or experience that determines who you are. Don't they say hindsight is 20/20. I know I'm talking crazy talk but my brain is just wondering. I can honestly say I've been blessed knowing some amazing peers in my life. The friends I've made from middle school on are still in my life, and I cherish the relationships I have with each of them. I heart NE. Posted below are a whole lot of photos from way back when they start is 8th grade and go to senior year of high school. Man, have I had some good memories with some wonderful friends. I love my life.
