Spring Weekend 2010!

This past weekend was amazing, and it was spring weekend on campus too so it was even that much more amazing, even though I barely did any campus activities. Basically, it's a weekend when you don't do any homework and then don't feel bad about it, because nobody else is doing homework either. So me and my friends were inspired to take a beach trip to see the sun rise after hearing that one of your friends did (B. Derr, 2010). Words can't even describe how much fun the trip was. It all started when I suggest it to Morgan, and actual plans picked up quickly. Kim, Allison, Morgan, and I left friday night (saturday morning) @ 1:30 AM. We were supposed to get there at 5:15 according to the GPS but I promised we'd be there by 4:45. (I was right!) I drove my santa fe (my new car) the whole way to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Some memories were the puddle, the moon show, running to the spot light (as), fail on jump pictures, Kim knocking morgan out, the most beautiful sunrise we've all ever seen, b-fast at The Golden Bell Dinner, going to my house, and meeting my kitties. Overall, it was a fantastic time with some of the best friends I could ask for. God has put such amazing people in my life I couldn't be anymore thankful! Other than that it was a great weekend but the staying up for 48 hour thing wrecked me later! I helped my friend Zach decorate his classroom hallway for a ocean unit, it was so much fun.
ROAD TRIP!!!!! driving time: 1:30 AM - 4:45 AM

Then on Sunday I went hiking with my Sunday School class. Landon, Zach, Kim, Kelsey, Corinne, Sarah, and Wendel. I barely made it up the mountain because I definitely was dehydrated, thank God that Kim was there on the trip too to help me out. Also a thanks to the group for not leaving me very far behind. It was awesome to be in the fellowship with believers on top of a mountain that over look the county that my college is in. We finished the story of Jonah and the fact that we all felt so comfortable to be real and share the struggles and trials in our life was amazing. I pray that all of us folow God's commands and continue to rely on and grow in Christ!
